11.5 Weeks Pregnant

Hi Dolls, I know this is a delayed post but I have been caught up with school and work, but I am back to update you guys on my pregnancy. Today I am 11.5 weeks pregnant and it feels great. It was a tough 2 weeks for me because I started experiencing severe nausea and congestion problems. Some days are better than the others. There are times where I feel so sick and I don't even want to get out of bed. But guess what? there are certain things you can eat and drink to help calm the uncomfortable feeling. Here are my main two holy grail items:

1. Canada dry. Canada dry contains real ginger and is caffeine free so it helps soothes your stomach. It is safe to drink during pregnancy, but only in moderation.
2. Premium salted crackers: this is a great little snack especially when you are extremely bothered by the smell of strong odor. Salted crackers helps your stomach settle. By eating bland foods or snacks, you are less likely to feel nauseated.

I haven't gained any weight as of yet. My weight still remains the same around 122 pounds and I am almost in my second trimester. I've read and heard some stories about pregnant women gaining 5-6 pounds in the first trimester, but it obviously varies from person to person.

I am so thankful to have a partner who is caring and extremely supportive. He puts up with my mood swings and constant complain about my pains. He gets up during the night when I am tossing and turning just to make sure I am okay. He rubs my tummy when I need it. I think having a supportive partner during your pregnancy makes life much easier. I do feel sorry for him sometimes lol but hey what are daddy's for right??

Baby: The baby has all his parts such as tooth buds, nails, toes and fingers which have been fully separated. Our baby is kicking and stretching, keep in mind that you cant feel it until you are 18 -20 weeks pregnant. I cant wait till July 9th this will be the first time we will get to see our baby and have pictures. See you all at 13 weeks.

Our Baby's 1st Heartbeat

Hey Dolls, on June 27th I went to see my OBGYN for the first time. Who knew the wait would take extremely long just for a 15 mins consultant. During our appointment, we had the chance to listen to our little ones heart beat. It was the most precious sound we ever heard. We have an active little one because when our obgyn tried to find the babys heart beat, the baby itself was tossing and turning =) Kalvin did capture the video and my initial reaction listening to the heartbeat. At that very moment it really dawn on me that I was bringing in a little one into this world. Enjoy the video...
